This server is a hardcore SMP called Dont Die SMP. It is all about staying alive while the world tries to kill you. You do not have to worry about other players attacking you because PvP is turned off.
If you die you go into spectator mode. Death is meant to feel final and serious. There is a large respawn radius so you cannot just pop back into the same spot and keep going like nothing happened.
The world itself is the real enemy. Mobs traps bad jumps and bad planning will get you. Traps are allowed as long as they use normal vanilla Minecraft stuff. You just cannot directly kill other players.
The server is vanilla and does not use mods that change how the game works. It runs on Java 1.21.11. There is no locator bar or easy compass tracking so you actually have to explore and pay attention.
Sleeping needs most people in the server so nights are still scary and important. The whole idea is that this is hardcore and tense but not a grief PvP mess. If you are tired of getting randomly killed by players and want the world itself to be the challenge then this server fits that style.

This is a pure anarchy server in Australia and it is called LegacyMC. It is vanilla survival with no rules and no special plugins that change the game. There are no land claims or teleports and there is no admin help or admin control. What you build or destroy or steal just stays in the world.
The server started in June 2025 so the map is still pretty fresh and people can still leave a mark. There are no world resets so anything you do is meant to last. PvP is always on and griefing and raiding are allowed so you have to be careful and smart.
There is no pay to win at all and there are no ranks or perks for money. The server costs are already covered so no one is asking for donations. It is just there for players who want real freedom and a permanent survival world.

New Dawn is a vanilla style survival server that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. It is in its first world and the whole thing is about towns big builds trading and working together on cool projects.
The server runs Minecraft 1.21.11 and lets Java and Bedrock players join together. It uses very few plugins so it still feels like normal Minecraft and keeps the immersion.

This is a semi anarchy style SMP called DIH SMP.
Stuff is not really peaceful here and players can basically do what they want. It is not full anarchy but it is close so you have to watch your back.

Dit is een Nederlandse Minecraft survival server waar ik terecht ben gekomen. De sfeer is best rustig en gezellig en alles draait om samen bouwen en chill survival spelen.
Er spelen nu ongeveer een stuk of twaalf mensen die best vaak online zijn. Je hebt een open survival wereld waar je gewoon je eigen base kunt bouwen maar ook makkelijk met anderen kunt samenwerken. Sommige spelers doen mee aan grote gezamenlijke projecten andere zitten in kleine groepjes en weer anderen bouwen gewoon lekker solo.
De server is vooral bedoeld om gezellig samen te spelen elkaar te respecteren en mooie builds te maken. Het is geen pvp gekke chaos server maar meer een veilige plek waar je rustig kunt spelen. Als je liever alleen speelt zonder veel praten kan dat hier ook prima.
Er zijn een paar duidelijke regels. Geen griefing en niet stelen en je mag andermans builds niet kapot maken. PVP mag alleen als iedereen het ermee eens is. Je moet elkaars bases spullen en privédingen respecteren. In chat en in Discord hoor je normaal en vriendelijk te doen. Ook mag je geen exploits dupes of lagmachines gebruiken.
Ze zijn vooral streng op griefing en ongewenste PVP omdat ze de server fijn en veilig willen houden voor alle spelers. Als je een rustige Nederlandse survival zoekt met focus op bouwen en respect dan past deze server daar goed bij.

Posalon is a Minecraft worldbuilding project where the community builds the history. Everything players do can become part of the lore and get saved in a wiki so it actually matters.
On this server you can get into politics between nations or even try to start your own nation. There is a movecraft plugin so people can design planes tanks and ships and then actually use them in real battles. There is also a brewery plugin so you can just chill and be a bartender if that is your thing.
You can create and spread your own religion and try to get people to believe it. The whole point is to forge your identity claim your place and write your own chapter in the world. The server is not just a normal Minecraft server it is more like a big saga written by the whole community together.

This is toxicSMP and it is a new semi anarchy server where hacks are not allowed. It is made for players who want chaos and danger but still want everyone to play fair. There are no land claims and no protection and basically no rules.
The world has a huge border at 30 million blocks. The world is permanent so if you build a base and hide it well it can stay there forever. You can run super far away hide your trail and build a secret empire. Or you can become a raider and try to find other people bases and steal all their loot.
There are a few basic commands like spawn home tpa and tpr. That is it. Everything else is pure survival and skill. The server uses strong server side protection so hackers get stopped and players who are legit have a fair fight.
There are prizes for the first player to reach the 30 million world border and for the first player to get a full set of netherite armor with all four pieces. The hardware is pretty strong with a lot of ram a big cpu and tons of storage so it is built to last.

This is a Minecraft server called Split SMP and it runs big civilization style events.
Every month or two they start a new season with a different twist. For Season 4 they are doing a Maze Runner inspired event. Players get split into four different teams and the whole thing happens over 7 days so it feels really intense and fast.
In past seasons they had around 150 to 250 players and now they are trying to hit 500 players for this season. Over 200 people already applied so it seems pretty active and busy.
If you like team events and short seasons where a lot happens in one week this server is made for that. It feels like everyone joins for the event and goes all in for the whole season.

Minemist is a new Java server that is hosted in Sydney Australia. It is made for players in the Asia Pacific region who are tired of bad ping on other servers.
The server is built around Towny with nations and war so it feels like a big simulated civilization. You can join or create a town then grow it into a nation and fight other nations over land. There is server lore about an entity called Misty who watches every move and tries to understand humanity which gives the world a cool story feeling.
There are jobs so you can earn money and a culture system to make towns feel different. MCMMO is here for skill leveling and there are tweaks to enchantments plus slower endgame progression so players do not rush to finish everything in one day. Chest locks help keep your stuff safe and the world has borders so the map feels more controlled.

RainFallMC is a simple survival SMP that feels close to normal Minecraft but with a few small boosts to make life easier. It does not try to be super complicated or crazy and keeps the game pretty chill.
The server has a VeinMiner style feature so you can break a whole ore vein or a whole tree by mining just one block and it still uses durability so it stays fair. There are land claims so your builds and chests stay safe and you do not have to worry as much about grief.
PvP is only on if you want it because there is a toggle so people who like fighting can do it and people who do not can just relax and build. There are villager buckets that make it way easier to move villagers around without pushing boats forever.
There is a server shop in a GUI for basic items and utilities so you can sell and buy simple stuff. Voting gives you in game cash but not crazy rewards. Donations are there only for cosmetic or convenience perks and there is no pay to win at all.
