There is a food and survival rework too. Mushroom stew heals more hearts and cake gives absorption hearts for a while plus resistance and then it has a cooldown. Totems are disabled so you cannot just spam totems to stay alive.
Ranks are based only on playtime and they are purely cosmetic. There are no gameplay advantages from ranks so everyone has the same chance to survive.
