The server uses a few plugins like simple voice chat custom music discs custom goat horns squaremap and co inspect. None of these change the base game so it still feels like regular Minecraft. Donator perks are also not pay to win and for this mini season they are free.
The server used to hit around 50 players and they are trying to get that active community back. The current season really needs more players. The person talking about it even started as a normal player and is now a manager so it seems like the staff come from the community.
