Campfire SMP is a whitelisted semi vanilla survival server for 18+ players that wants a real long term world. It started on 09/13/2025 and the goal is no resets so your builds can stay for years.
The server already has community projects like a shopping district a city themed shopping area nether highways and an arena with a mini games district. People hang out in voice chat a lot while building working on projects or just talking.
It runs on Purpur 1.21.11 and it is self hosted 24/7 in Las Vegas with only limited interruptions. It keeps survival feeling real with no /tpa and no /home. The world border is 60k by 60k and it will expand with big updates.
There are some plugins and data packs for quality of life and admin stuff like CoreProtect Dynmap Simple Voice Chat and things like custom armor stands mini blocks and player heads. You must be 18+ and most players are in their 20s with some in their 30s and 40s.

The minigames are the main flex here. Scribble Guesser is like Pictionary in Minecraft where you draw with custom tools and people guess in chat. Battle Trials is wave survival with custom mobs and bosses like King Slime and the King Wither plus revives and kit progression. Last Man Standing is a battle royale with a shrinking border and classes with custom abilities and it even has a dragon event. There is also Type Warriors which is a typing survival game and Color Match which is a fast paced word guessing color combo game. They also have a custom party system so playing with friends is easy.
There is an enhanced SMP too. It has a player driven economy with a custom auction house and quick sell. It uses a coin currency system and you can earn RANKCORE Shards and crate keys just by playing. The server also has custom TPA and home systems with simple GUIs. I found a brand new community SMP that just opened last weekend and it feels like a clean start with real people.
It is whitelist only and 18+ only. There are no ranks and no donor perks. There is no server shop and the economy is diamond based so players drive it.
There are no teleport shortcuts so traveling matters. Changes are based on community feedback and polls.
It has deeper progression with ValhallaMMO and ValhallaTrinkets. The world uses Terralith generation. Players can run shops with Shopkeepers and rent market space with AdvancedRegionMarket.
