Campfire SMP is a small 18 plus server that is trying to last for years and not just a few weeks. It is a semi vanilla survival world with no resets and a whitelist so it feels more like a long term home than a random server.
The world has a 20k by 20k border so there is still a lot of exploring to do and they plan to expand it with big updates. There is already a shopping district with a diamond based economy plus shared stuff like nether highways a battle arena and a Christmas area.
The server uses Purpur 1.21.9 and is self hosted 24 7 on strong hardware so it should be pretty stable. You do not get easy commands like slash tpa or slash home so it keeps that real survival feel.
Most players hang out in voice chat on discord while they build work on projects play other games or just talk. Everyone has to be 18 or older and a lot of people are in their twenties thirties or even older so it is more of a grown up chill vibe. They want respectful players who want to help build a long lasting community and they seem excited to invite new people in.

Hydro SMP is a long term vanilla survival world that feels like a chill home. The server is always updated to the latest version and they only use performance mods and moderator tools so the gameplay stays vanilla.
The community is really big with over a thousand people in the Discord and a lot of them have been there for years. Players vote on server decisions so it is very community driven and everyone gets a say.
The server has a very strict no griefing rule. Staff can roll back and inspect player actions and they do not tolerate griefing or cheating at all. It is meant to be a safe place to build and play without losing your stuff.

Distant Systems is a survival server that mixes Towny style building with RPG stuff. It feels like a mix of a normal SMP and an adventure game.
You can pick an Origin so your character has special buffs that match how you like to play. There are custom enchantments NPC quests reforging boss fights custom armor and special items. It feels like there is always something to work toward instead of just mining and building.
The main world is survival with towns and community building so you can play together without needing some super serious commitment. People seem focused on working together and making cool places.

This server is a survival world that feels really raw and old school. It is vanilla style and you are on your own almost all the time. There is griefing and pvp so anything you build can be destroyed and anyone can kill you.
The world is from 2014 and it never reset. That means there is tons of history and old bases out there if you can find them. Nothing gets wiped so every block placed might stay there forever unless someone blows it up.

This is an anarchy style Minecraft server called MinecraftOffline. It is hosted in Finland so it feels really good for players in Europe.

This is a hardcore modded SMP where you only get one life. If you die you are banned forever so every fight actually matters. It feels really intense and kind of scary in a fun way.
