Campbell SMP is starting its second season and it feels like a fresh new world that still wants to last a long time. It is a semi vanilla style server but with extra world generation and cool upgrades so it does not feel boring.
You start off simple and then unlock better tools and armor by leveling up your skills. You cannot just jump straight into iron and diamond gear. It makes everything feel more earned and gives you a reason to keep playing.
The bosses are not easy at all. The Wither and Ender Dragon are harder so the fights feel more epic. There are also regular events so people always have something to do together.
The world has upgraded terrain and structures like better temples and ocean monuments which makes exploring way more fun. There are server side decoration blocks and Farmers Delight so bases and farms can look nicer without everyone needing mods.
Players run the community and vote on how things should be done so it really feels like a group project instead of just one owner deciding everything. There is proximity voice chat so you can talk to people nearby in game which makes it feel like a real town.
It is meant for adults who want a long term SMP and want to stick around for more than one season. If that is the kind of survival you like this server seems like a good place to join.

United Lands is a Towny Earth SMP where players build nations on a 1 to 500 scale map of the real world. It feels like a mix of survival building and politics where people fight wars or make alliances and shape big empires.
There are seven different jobs you can level up and they have skill trees so you can progress in your own way. If you grind enough you can unlock powerful Masterwork Armor and cool upgrades like more sethomes or even flying inside your town. You can join an existing town or nation or you can try to start your own and see if you can survive.
The economy is fully run by players. There are no admin shops. Instead people use player warps to make their own stores. Some shops focus on selling tons of items while others have the best prices so you have to explore and decide where to spend your money or become a shop owner yourself.
The server also has custom gear and a bunch of custom items including new foods like avocados and mac and cheese which is pretty funny to see in Minecraft. There is a big focus on fair play because the server store only sells cosmetic stuff and sponsorships do not give any gameplay advantages. Everyone has the same chance to get strong as long as they play.

HermitiaSMP is a small Hermitcraft inspired server that feels really close and friendly. It is a survival vanilla plus world that focuses a lot on events both inside Minecraft and outside too.
There are weekly events so things do not get boring. Some events are in game some are in real life and there are even art competitions. There are also special Christmas events and a lot of festive stuff going on.
The server has optional proximity voice chat so you can talk to people when you are close to them in game. There are event houses and community builds where you can join a house and earn points for it.
HermitiaSMP uses its own datapack and some quality of life mods that add unique features. It also has anti grief plugins like CoreProtect so builds are safer.

Everbloom SMP is a survival server that has two different worlds so you can pick how you want to play.
The standard SMP world is for players who like more intense survival. Farming is fully supported and redstone is allowed. You can even go on the nether roof. PvP and raiding are turned on so you always have to watch your back. The world has a 75k border and the server aims to stay lag free and stable.
The casual SMP world is way more relaxed. It is made for chill builders and explorers and anyone who just wants peaceful survival. There are custom terrains and structures but it still feels close to vanilla. PvP is off and there is no griefing and no raiding at all. You can just build and farm and create stuff with friendly players.
The community vibe is relaxed and wholesome and it focuses on creativity and cooperation. The server is crossplay so both Java and Bedrock players can join and play together.
