The Tavern SMP is a pure vanilla survival world that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. It is a chill SMP where people want to hang out talk and build cool stuff together.
The server is focused on community builds like towns trading halls and big industrial farms that everyone can use. People are encouraged to interact a lot and work together instead of playing alone.
It is whitelisted so you have to send an application before joining. There is an anti grief plugin but everything else is vanilla. The main rules are no griefing and no profanity. Jokes are fine as long as they do not go too far or hurt anyone.
There is no world border and the world does not reset unless the community votes for it. They also run fun community events sometimes and the players are very laid back and friendly.
Tnt dupers and redstone machines are allowed as long as they do not lag the server too much. Mods like litematica are allowed but not printer or freecam.
There is proximity voice chat to make everything feel more alive and social. If you want a relaxed Hermitcraft style SMP with a nice community this server is trying to be that.

This is a simple smp server that is trying to grow into a big community. The owner really wants at least 100 players chilling here and just playing together.
The first person to join from this gets a starter pack. That makes it easier to start on the server and begin your survival world.

This is a server called No Limit and it is a full vanilla anarchy world. There are no rules and there is no anti cheat so you are totally on your own.
The server is always on the newest version and it has been running for about 8 years. It is online 24 7 so you can join any time.
Anyone can join and they already had over 260000 different players visit at least once. Chat reports are turned off so the chat feels more free.
The server supports distant horizons simple voice chat and vivecraft so you can even play in VR if you want. There is also a live chat system that lets people see in game chat from discord.

This server is called The New Dawn SMP and it is a vanilla plus Hermit style survival world. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.10 and you can join from both Java and Bedrock which is really cool.
The whole server is about creativity and building big stuff. People work on megabuilds towns trading and shared projects. Players are supposed to shape the world with their ideas so your builds and your time actually matter here.
The community is friendly and semi mature and they care a lot about creativity and working together. It is made for players who like Hermitcraft style gameplay with economies huge builds and world storytelling.

LightRealms SMP is a small whitelisted semi vanilla server that has been running for almost eight years. It is made for people who just want to enjoy normal Minecraft with others without a bunch of crazy plugins.
The server runs on version 1.21.10 with Fabric. There is a survival world and also a creative server where players can test builds before making them in survival. It keeps the vanilla feel but adds a few extras like a wandering trader datapack, armor statue tools, dragon dropping elytra, double shulker shells, more mob heads, player head drops, AFK display and a dynmap. There is also an audio player mod so you can add custom audio to music discs and horns.
The community is mainly adults from different walks of life. Everyone goes through a verification process so only real players get in and trolls and griefers stay out. There are community events and an active playerbase but it still feels like a small community where people know each other. There are no unnecessary moderators or overpowered staff. Everyone just plays as a normal player.
