The Lab is a vanilla style SMP that just started a new season and this time it is all about skyblock. It feels like a pretty pure Minecraft experience because everything is still vanilla but they use a skyblock setup so the whole world is basically the void.
From what I saw they use some tweaks so that every resource in the game is still possible to get. So even though you start in the sky you can still work toward getting all the normal stuff over time. The focus seems to be on building up from almost nothing and creating a whole world together.
The server is running on version 1.21.11 and it is hosted in Germany. There is no world border right now so the world can expand as people play and explore.
The vibe is like a group of people who like vanilla survival but wanted a different challenge this season. You join up and slowly grow your sky island and help shape the server world with everyone else.

Billionaire City is a Minecraft city and economy roleplay server that is trying to change how people play. It feels like a big modern city world where money and progress actually matter.
You can manage different kinds of property like apartments houses and big companies. The way jobs work is different because they are not permanent and they are based on minigames and special job events so it does not feel boring or stuck.
There is a crime side too. You can do things like blow up ATMs or search trash bins for valuables and there is a balanced crime system with money laundering so it feels risky but not totally crazy.
The server also has vehicles and a public transport system so moving around the city is a big part of the gameplay. There is a ton of custom furniture everywhere that makes the city feel more real and detailed.
There are quests and community goals where players work together to unlock new features and new areas. There is even a unique fishing system so even simple stuff feels different. Right now the server is in play test and it runs on version 1.21.x.

Foggy Willows is a server that is trying to be as real vanilla as possible. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no datapacks and no plugins at all. There is no giant spawn area and no big story you have to read before you play.
On this server players are expected to deal with their own problems. There is no tp or sethome so if you get lost you have to figure it out. You can build how you want and play how you want. Technical players who like redstone and farms are welcome too.
The server is always on the latest stable vanilla jar. It is self hosted on a machine made just for it. There are no donations and no world border. It is set to hard mode so mobs hit harder and the game is more tough.
There is a discord for talking and it is a Java server. If you want a real vanilla world with all the usual quirks and challenges then this place is made for that.

WarriorSMP is a new survival server that is still in beta and it already feels pretty active with around 5 to 15 players on. It runs on version 1.21.4 and you can join on both Java and Bedrock so it is easy to play with friends.
The server is all about multiplayer survival with a simple economy. You can sell stuff and use a shop and there is a player auction house so most trading is between players. There is also a team system so you can group up with friends and play together.
For people who like pvp there is a bounty system so you can hunt players for rewards. You can use random teleport to explore the world safely and you can set homes and try to climb the leaderboards.
The community seems serious about staying safe and welcoming. They do not allow cheating duping x ray racism hate speech or nsfw stuff. Breaking those rules is an instant ban so the server is trying to keep things fair and friendly for everyone.

Smithtainment Minecraft is a survival server that feels almost like vanilla but with some nice extra stuff. It is set to hard mode so the game is not easy and you have to actually pay attention.
There are things like MCMMO jobs leveled mobs stacked mobs and spawners and even a whole resource world. You can make money with jobs and shops and there is both a server shop and an auction house plus player chest shops so the economy feels active.
When you die you do not just lose everything forever. You get sent to a fairy who lets you buy your items back if you want. That makes dying still scary but not completely awful.
The spawn area is custom built and looks really nice and under it there is a PvP arena. There are also custom ender dragon fights where players can team up and fight together. The server even has custom fishing with tournaments and more.
You can use commands like rtp home sethome resourcetp warps cosmetics and tags. There are playtime ranks that unlock more perks the longer you stay so it feels good to keep playing.
The community is welcoming and helps new players. The server runs on Minecraft 1.21.10 Java Edition and it has been part of the Smithtainment Gaming group that has been giving people a place to hang out online for over ten years.
