This server is called Blockyard SMP and it is starting Season 2 with a full reset so everyone gets a fresh start. It is still mostly vanilla with no gameplay changing mods so it feels like regular Minecraft.
The cool part is the kingdom system. Everyone joins a team that acts like a guild and each team controls its own district in the main kingdom area. You work with your team to build and organize your part of the world.
There are different teams with different jobs. Explorers handle the nether hub nether highways roads outside the kingdom and finding structures like the End portal and ocean monuments. Architects build spawn shared buildings landmarks and the roads and paths inside the kingdom. Enchanters take care of all enchantments potions and organizing boss fights. Engineers make the farms redstone stuff and useful machines like storage and super smelters.
Projects have some rules so progression stays balanced. Small personal builds are allowed even in another team area if you get that team to approve it with a contract. Bigger builds and anything for the kingdom or server has to go through the right team and be team focused. Personal builds do not give points to the team.
Overall it feels like a cooperative SMP where everyone has a role and the server wants people who like working together on long term builds and shared projects.

This is a new worldbuilding server made by a group of friends who have been on a lot of these servers for years. They are trying to fix the usual problems like dead or corrupt staff and boring war and diplomacy.
The world is a 15k by 15k vanilla style map so it does not feel like another Earth copy. You can build towns and nations with Towny and you must pay upkeep or your place can fall apart.
War is handled more old school and less locked down by plugins. Players can pick different ways to fight and even make their own rules for conflicts. There is also an outlaw style where you stay vulnerable but you can also attack anytime.
The End is enabled for players to explore and raid but elytras are removed to push more player made travel. Redstone is mostly allowed and the server is tuned to feel as close to vanilla as Paper can be as long as you do not cause big lag. TNT duplication is disabled and there is a dynamap too.
