    I found Aelythera and it is a 16+ Minecraft roleplay server that is relaunching April 1st. It is built around meeting new people and doing planned events while you play your character.

    The story starts in a normal world called Koriam with different regions and cultures and some steampunk technology. Then a thing called The Great Vanishing happened and people disappeared. Now it is happening again and you get taken too.

    You end up in a new world with magic and ancient ruins from an older civilization. Your old life in Koriam does not matter anymore and you have to start over. A big part of the server is discovery like finding your new power and figuring out your new home.

    You can spend time researching the world or trying to recreate the technology you lost. Making new inventions is meant to be hard and even making the tools you need can be difficult. The staff team says they have experience from other roleplay servers and they try to include everyone and listen to community suggestions.

    I found a survival SMP that started as a friend group server during COVID and it grew into a welcoming community that still keeps it going.

    It is open to join and there is no whitelist. There are no land claims so the rules matter a lot. Griefing and hacking are not allowed and they get enforced hard.

    The server has a shopping district and a main communal area. Players trade using raw gold and they can run shops.

    It stays close to vanilla with a few quality of life things like invisible item frames and a chest locking system. There is also /sethome and /spawn but not much else.

    It runs on Hard and keep inventory is off so it can be rough. Technical players will like it because TNT duping and bedrock breaking are enabled. If you want a starter kit you can ask in chat.

    This is a community centered survival server made by players for players. It is going for a Hermitcraft style SMP feel with a diamond based economy and a shopping district.

    You can join public builds and projects and lots of people use proximity chat so it feels more alive. The server keeps the vanilla experience as the main thing but it also has homes and some cosmetic and quality of life and fun plugins that get added from community requests and polls.

    It is usually around 5 to 20 people online through the day with hundreds of active regulars. It is Java only on Minecraft 1.21.11 and it is whitelisted and 18 plus only. People also form groups and they are looking for new members.
