This is a vanilla beta 1.7.3 server that is trying to build a small active community of people who really like old beta Minecraft. It focuses on giving that classic survival feeling with the same charm and limits from the original beta days.
The main idea is simple survival with no fancy extra stuff. You just mine build explore and hang out with other players who enjoy the same version. The server is meant to feel like the old times and keep things calm and friendly.

AvalonEarth is a survival server on a 1 to 500 earth map. It is a geopolitics style earthsmp with Towny so players can make towns and nations and claim land all over the world.
Anyone can start a nation here. The server gives you starter money so you do not need to grind forever or meet weird player requirements just to make your own country.
The server is now on its second season after a first season that built a pretty strong community. There are a lot of new players this season and it feels active and alive.
There are tons of wars and conflict between nations if you like fighting and big battles. But if you do not like pvp you can still live a more peaceful life and try to avoid the wars.
The main ways to earn money are jobs farming and fishing. The owner says more ways to make money are being added soon.

Headrest SMP is a survival pvp world on Paper with a bunch of quality of life plugins. It runs on version 1.20.10 and the server has strong hardware with 20GB ram and a 5800x3d cpu so it is made to handle fights and big builds.
The server feels like a tight knit group where people want to be friends but also are always ready to fight. You can build bases and plan wars and sometimes even betray people if you want that kind of drama.
There is a safe zone at spawn where pvp is off so players can build shops and just hang out. People talk there using a simple voice chat mod so it feels more like everyone is actually together.
Some of the plugins are made to keep combat fair. Elytra is disabled during combat so no one can just fly away and there is a combat log plugin so you cannot easily escape fights. There is also a sit command to chill around with others and more small features that make the server feel comfy but still dangerous.

This is a vanilla amplified SMP called GOOMB and it just started a new season not long ago. The world was reset about a month ago so everything still feels new and fresh.
At first there was a world border so people had to build bases close together. Now the border has expanded and there is way more space for different build ideas and plans. Players are getting ready to open the end this upcoming weekend so everyone can rush for loot and explore together.
The community feels super active. The discord is always busy with people advertising shops sharing terrain screenshots and talking about trades and deals. Voice chats are usually full of players hanging out and talking about their plans for the world.
The rules are pretty strict about keeping things friendly. There is no racism bigotry ableism or hate speech allowed. No NSFW stuff. You have to be respectful keep drama out and use common sense. There is no griefing stealing or unconsented PVP so it is a safe place to build cool bases.
