Storybook SMP is a small fantasy survival server where everyone plays as cool creatures like vampires or werewolves using mods. It feels like a fairytale world with monsters and magic and the whole server is built around that idea.
The community is chill and pretty mature. There are around ten active players and they all live close together near the spawn village so it is easy to meet people. Most of the time players hang out build bases and do projects together. PvP is not the main thing and it only happens if both players agree first.
The server is 13 plus so you do not need to be an adult to join. As long as you are friendly and respectful you can fit in. People seem patient and not rushed so you can take your time to build a house and settle in.
Storybook SMP is also focused on roleplay. Everyone needs a character backstory when they apply because it is part of the whitelist questions. After you join you post your backstory in a public place so other players can read it and you can read theirs too.
The big official roleplay story has not started yet and the ending is not planned. The community will decide together when to begin so new players still have a chance to help shape the lore. It feels like a cozy story world that is still being written.

EchelonMC is a survival server that tries to stay simple and clean while still feeling new. It runs on a normal Minecraft install so you do not have to download mods or extra clients. Most things are made to feel like normal survival so it does not get confusing.
The server is built around the community. Players can use a suggestion system in game to share ideas and those ideas are checked a lot. The whole project changes based on what players think so it feels like the community is building the server together.
EchelonMC is focused on survival and does not try to change the main loop of the game. Nothing is super overpowered and the world acts how you expect. They even turned off Endermen block pickup so your builds stay safe.
There are some cool systems like a command controller that only shows commands you can actually use and NPCs at spawn that explain features and help you get around. There is a wilderness NPC that can send you to a random place and the ground slowly wears into paths as people walk which looks really natural.
The spawn hub is clean and gives you the info you need when you first join. The server can update a lot of things live without restarting so it stays online more while they work. It is getting ready for release and the owners seem really focused on listening to players and keeping everything smooth and easy to understand.

This server is called CaveMC and it is on Season 2. It is a semi anarchy survival server where the whole overworld is underground. There is no surface at all. Everything is caves with different biomes resources and structures.
The gameplay feels way harder than normal survival. You have to be really smart to survive because it is brutal and there is not much safety. It is still kind of vanilla but it has a lot of custom world generation made by real Minecraft developers so it feels unique.
They are adding a new place called the Wasteland Dimension. It is a huge new area not just a normal biome. In the Wasteland you can get brand new powerful gear and there are massive structures to explore. These mega structures hide secrets and good loot so people will fight over them.
The Wasteland also has its own special currency so there is a new type of economy where players can trade in a different way. There is a brand new spawn made for this update so when you join you start in a place that fits the Wasteland theme.
The map in the Wasteland is custom made and looks really cool. It is also built to be challenging with special features that change how you play. Overall it feels like a dangerous underground world for players who like harsh survival and exploring new dimensions.

This is a pretty laid back modded SMP that is still getting finished up. It uses the MCEternal2 modpack and runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with forge 47.4.2.
The server is meant to be a chill place to relax and hang out with friends. It is not lore based and it is not focused on combat. It is more about playing together and having fun in a modded world.
There are no super strict rules written out. The server mostly runs on an honor system. Just do not be a nuisance and respect other players so everyone can relax.
They are looking for players who can hop on pretty regularly and help make the world feel alive. The server has not officially started yet but it is close to the end of development and getting ready to open.

This is a new Minecraft server that is trying to build a small community.
The main idea is semi hardcore. If you die you do not lose everything forever. Instead you are gone for a certain amount of time then you can come back. So it still feels scary to die but not as brutal as full hardcore.
The server is unmodded Minecraft but it does use plugins. The owner just wants a place to play with other players and decided to host their own server for that.
To join you have to send an application first. The application is very simple and can be done in text so it is easy to get in and easy for the owner to read through.
The server is planned to open on December 10th 2025.
