Back2Basics SMP is a semi vanilla survival server that feels really chill and simple. It started in December 2023 and now has new ownership. The whole idea is to keep Minecraft feeling pure but add a few tweaks that make survival more fun and fair.
There is a player driven economy where you can buy sell and trade using in game currency. You can earn stuff by exploring doing events or just being smart with trading. There is also a cosmetic store but the cool part is you can earn the perks and rewards in game and you do not need your wallet.
The server uses custom lightweight plugins to keep things smooth. Keep inventory is on so if you die to a mob or another player you keep your gear. There is random teleport with rtp so you can jump to a fresh spot and start a new base. Land claiming is done with commands like claim claims and viewclaims so your builds are protected from griefers.
They run weekend events like build battles staff hunts and quests every Saturday and Sunday with in game rewards. The staff team is active and on daily and the community is newbie friendly so both new players and experienced ones can join easily.
You can play on versions from 1.9 up to 1.21 and higher but they recommend using the newest version for the best experience.

This server is made for people who want a long term world with no grief and no resets. The goal is to keep the world going for many years so you can work on big projects and also take breaks without losing your stuff.
The main survival world is almost pure vanilla but it has claims a map player markets clans fishing contests and some teleport features. You can rank up for free just by playing and all perks are free. There are also building tools like armour stand editors mini blocks and decorative heads so builds can look really cool.
There is a hardcore vanilla mode too. It is no grief and has four times biomes and CoInspect so staff can check what happened. There is also a simple vanilla no grief world that lasts around six to twelve months with very few plugins and a small claim system. Plus there are creative plots for testing builds and using litematica pasting.
The community feels pretty relaxed and mixed with players from different countries and ages. Public chat is supposed to stay clean with low tolerance for swearing and it is mostly for talking about Minecraft and gaming. Events are usually made by players and helped by the admins. Overall it feels like playing single player but with other people around to trade build and hang out.

This place uses a plugin called CelestialDash that gives you a cool movement ability during storms. When thunderstorms happen the world can spawn special items called Celestial Tears. If you hold one in your main hand you can use a fast dash move.
The dash shoots you forward really quick so it feels great for exploring big areas or escaping fights. It also works well for parkour maps and for servers that want more RPG style movement. There is even an option for a double dash with no fall damage if the server owner turns it on.
Almost everything can be customized by the admin like how strong the dash is how high you go how long the cooldown is and what particles and sounds it uses. Messages and effects can be edited too so it fits the server vibe. Players do not need any special permission to use the dash and only admins use the admin command.
It is a very lightweight plugin and does not need other plugins to run so it is easy for a server owner to add it and test it with their players.

Mubian World is a vanilla style SMP with a worldborder that is 5000 by 5000 so everyone stays pretty close together. It feels like a small world where you can actually meet other players and see what they build.
The rules are simple and strict. No hacking or cheating. No duping. No using glitches to get an advantage. No insulting other players and no spamming chat. There are no extra rules besides that so it is easy to remember.
Since the rules are clear the server feels pretty fair. People just play survival and try to have fun without dealing with cheaters or toxic chat. If you want a basic vanilla SMP with a small map and simple rules this server is exactly that.

This is a small community server that feels like a giant friend group. It is a Java whitelist server on Minecraft 1.21.10 and it usually has a handful of players on every day with a bigger group that comes back a lot.
The server uses proximity voice chat so you can actually talk to people who are near you in game. It is optional though so you can still play without mods if you want. There is also a web map so you can see the world from your browser.
Gameplay is survival with some light plugins. There is an economy with jobs where you can chop trees mine ores and get paid to unlock cosmetics and commands. You can sit on stairs and slabs use a random teleport once to find a place to live and even change your player height with a scale plugin.
Your items are protected with a lock plugin and there is rollback if something goes wrong or someone griefs. The server gets regular updates based on what the community suggests and votes on so players have a real say in how things grow.
Overall it feels like a chill survival server focused on community and talking together with proximity chat instead of just playing alone.
