Campfire SMP is a small 18 plus survival server that wants to stay around for years and not reset every month. It started in September 2025 and the world border is big so there is still a lot to explore.
The server is semi vanilla and whitelisted and it runs on Purpur 1.21.11 with a few plugins and data packs for quality of life and admin tools. There is no tpa and no home commands so you actually have to travel and play survival for real.
Players on here already built a shopping district with a diamond based economy plus nether highways a battle arena and a mini games area. The community likes to hang out in voice chat on discord and work on projects or just talk and play other games.
Most people on Campfire SMP are adults in their 20s and some older so the vibe is more mature but still relaxed. The server is self hosted and runs 24 7 with strong hardware so it stays up and feels smooth.

Emberline SMP is a small survival world that only wants around 20 players total. The owner is just tired of giant servers with tons of people or worlds that never even start.
The server is pretty much vanilla. It only has proximity voice chat one player sleep and player head drops. That is it. No crazy plugins or confusing stuff.
You join the discord and submit an application and once there are 20 people the server starts. Those 20 are the whole community so it should feel tighter and less chaotic.
There is a tutorial in the discord that shows you how to install the proximity chat so everyone can actually use it.
If you want a simple survival server with a small group this looks like what they are going for.

Electron SMP is a new semi vanilla server that is made to feel really close to pure vanilla. It is inspired by DonutSMP but it does not have a bunch of crazy plugins.
Spawn is built in an Infuse style and right now there is only one lava cast. The whole idea is to get players who want to lava cast all around spawn and slowly turn it into something insane. The spawn area is supposed to become a total mess over time because of the players.
The server is for people who actually play the game. Players here grind for gear and power. They pvp and raid other players. They do long term progress and do not just log on walk around and log off. If you quit after ten minutes this server is not really for you.
Rules are super simple. No hacking. No slurs. Pretty much everything else is fair game. That means griefing around spawn is allowed. Lava casting is allowed. Raiding is allowed.
The server is still really new so the first players will decide how wild and chaotic spawn becomes. If you want DonutSMP style energy but with almost pure vanilla gameplay then Electron SMP fits that vibe.

This server is called All Outta Blocks and it is a really community focused SMP. It was made by the players for the players and it feels like a big friend group that hangs out a lot.
The server plays kind of like Hermitcraft with survival and a diamond based economy. There is a shopping district plus public builds and community projects. There is also proximity voice chat and most people use it so the world feels really alive when you play.
They try to keep the game close to vanilla but they still add some cosmetic and quality of life and fun plugins. These are picked from community requests and polls so the players help decide what gets added.
It is a Java only server on Minecraft 1.21.11. The server is whitelisted and it is 18 plus only so the community stays mature. There are homes and player warps to make moving around easier.
From what I can tell they always want more people to join and be part of the group. If you like chill survival with a Hermitcraft style vibe and lots of talking in proximity chat this server seems like a good fit.

Ordinary SMP is a vanilla Java server that feels like a small friendly neighborhood. It is whitelisted so people who join actually want to play and not just ruin stuff.
The community is tight knit and pretty chill. People like to build together and work on big community projects. It is good if you like to hang out with others and not just play totally alone.
The server stays updated to the latest version and uses tools to keep your builds safe. They can check what happened if something gets griefed or stolen.
There is a live map using BlueMap so you can see the world from a browser style view. The server also has Simple VoiceChat so you can talk while you play. They use AudioPlayer for custom audio too.
The server has dragon elytra drops so beating the dragon is extra worth it. There is also a custom resource pack with special cosmetics trophies and event rewards that match a HermitCraft style theme.
They like doing server wide events like pvp battles build contests and big group projects. If you are a builder an explorer a redstone player or just want to vibe this server fits that style.
