Atari Video City is a survival server where people just want to build and hang out and have fun.
The main idea is to make your own city. You can invite all your friends and build together or even try to compete with other groups to see who makes the coolest place.
There is no admin abuse listed so it feels like the staff wants the game to be fair. The server is meant to be chill so you can just log on and have a good time without a bunch of crazy rules.

There is no economy stuff and it is not modded. They only use a few plugins and it sounds like they are kept light so the gameplay stays mostly the same.

I found Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy survival server that tries to feel like vanilla. It started on October 11th 2024 and it is hosted in New York City.
The server is online all the time and it lets you join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. They recommend 1.21.10 so stuff works better.
The world is huge with a 2 million block border and it says there are no map resets. There is no pay to win and there is no teleporting. PvP and griefing are fully allowed.
The only command they allow is spawn so players far away can get back to civilization. Nether roof is allowed. Phantoms are removed and only half the players are needed to skip the night.

It is 18 plus and the world does not reset so your progress matters and big builds and towns can keep growing over time.
I saw features like player warps for getting around player shops for trading claims to help protect builds events for fun and a PvP toggle so fighting is optional.

The server tries to keep everyone on equal ground. Big automated farms like creeper iron gold and raid farms are not allowed. This pushes people to trade more and actually rely on other players to keep the world feeling alive.
