Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to stay super close to normal vanilla survival. It launched on October 11th 2024 and it is always online.
The rules are really light. Griefing is allowed and PvP is allowed. There is no pay to win and there are no map resets. There is also no teleporting like /home or random teleports. The only thing you can do that is not vanilla is use spawn so people who go really far out are not stuck alone forever.
The world border is set to two million blocks so there is a ton of space to explore and hide in. The server also lets you use the nether roof. Phantoms are removed which is nice and only about half the people on the server have to sleep to skip the night.
You can join on pretty much any Java version from 1.7.2 to 1.21.11. They say it is best to use version 1.21.10 so you do not have problems.
Even though it is semi anarchy there are still a few rules. You cannot use exploits or make lag machines or dupes. You also cannot spam chat or use harassment or racial slurs. So the server is still wild but not totally toxic.

AeternalCiv is a geopolitical civilization building server where players write the story. You can be a citizen or a king or queen or just a hermit and do your own thing.
It has reinforcement with Citadel and snitch mod so land and bases feel more protected and politics can get real. It also runs Slimefun and Origins plus Brewery and ValhallaMMO.
There are seasons and levelled mobs with RPG mechanics. There are custom recipes too and more changes are planned since the server is still in active development.

This is a hardcore survival server with lifesteal where fights actually matter. If you die you get banned for 15 minutes so every move feels risky.
There is an infuse system with unique passives. If you do not have that you can still go for altar weapons that can give you an edge in fights. Gearing up is easy so you can get back into the action fast.
You are not forced to only pvp. You can go independent and build empires or whole civilizations millions of blocks away.

People mostly play to build up towns and compete for money and ranks. The vibe is more like a relax and farm kind of place where you can just do your own thing. The community is welcoming and you can find players in AU EU and US timezones and it can hit around 20 players at peak.
It has Towny for claiming and growing your town plus Jobs and MCMMO with in game ranking. There is also Dynmap so you can see the world. You can use player warps and player shops and there is a sell only server shop too.

Voidwalker SMP is a 16+ semi vanilla survival server on 1.21.X. It keeps things simple and feels like real Minecraft with only a few plugins for stability moderation and small quality of life stuff.
The world is set up like a frontier. There is a spawn settlement then beyond that is the wilderness called The Frontier where players explore settle and shape the land.
There are no land claim plugins so territory is handled by rules instead. The server uses a themed treaty rulebook that talks about player rights conflict rules and how land should be treated without getting in the way of normal gameplay.
You can play solo or team up as your own sovereign group. PvE is welcome and PvP is supported too but it is meant to be contextual and mutual.
