AlteriaMC is a towny RPG server where you build your own story and play the way you want.
You can make towns and even whole nations and they are protected so you can actually keep your stuff safe and work on long term builds. Pvp is optional so you only fight when you feel like it and you can also just chill and build in peace.
There are races and classes that change how your character plays and you can mess around with different strengths and styles. The server also has custom weapons so combat feels different and there is more gear to work toward.
Gathering wood is faster with a timber style system and there is a random teleport that sends you to safe spots so exploring the world is easier. The economy uses a stock style market where prices go up and down based on what players really buy and sell so trading actually matters.

EzeeEarth is a Minecraft server that is trying to build a real Earth map and it is still in beta.
The owner spent days making the map and hours exporting it. Every continent has hidden structures and lore so you can explore and try to find everything. It feels like a giant adventure map you slowly figure out.
Sometimes there are small commands used like changing the time while the owner is online but that is just because the server is still being worked on.
They are trying to add more realism and temperature style mods and also BlueMap. They really want players to give suggestions and help guide how new features should work.
The server is only online in the evening from 3 PM PST to 10 PM PST so everyone plays at the same time. They recommend using JourneyMap or BlueMap so you can handle the huge Earth world and not get lost.
If you like exploring giant maps and helping build a server while it is in beta this server feels like a cool place to hang out and test stuff.

Tinkers Tavern is an 18 plus Minecraft community that has been running for around two years and it feels really stable and relaxed.
The main world is a Vanilla plus SMP on version 1.21.10. It keeps the normal Minecraft feel but has helpful stuff like voice chat discord connection chunk claiming a map and small perks like limited random teleport for new players. You can join on a normal vanilla client and you do not have to install mods if you do not want to.
They also run a bunch of modded servers. There are two different Vault Hunters experiences including Wolds Vaults with a fresh season and new world. There is a Cobblemon server with another season planned plus a copy of HermitCraft Season 10 that you can explore. They even have an FTB Stoneblock 4 server for people who like skyblock style mining worlds.
The community is adults only but it is not a wild NSFW place. It is just for grown players who want low stress gaming and like survival style servers. People join from all over the world so there is usually someone online at any time.

This is a new Minecraft server called Silencers.
I found it and it feels super simple and chill. There is not much extra stuff going on. It is just a place to join and play Minecraft with other people.
Since it is new the world is not all used up yet. You can explore and build your own base without feeling late.

StrayaMC is a server that focuses on island style gameplay with Skyblock and Oneblock. It is hosted in Australia so people in OCE get really good ping but anyone can still join and play.
The server runs on Minecraft 1.21 and higher. You can play on Java or Bedrock and you can join from PC console or mobile so it is easy to get your friends online together.
There is an economy with a shop command and an auction house where players can trade items. Islands have missions upgrades and crates so there is always something to work on and ways to power up your island over time.

This is a modded SMP called Ridge SMP and it is on season 5 right now. The season started on December 23rd 2025 and they use a modified version of Ciscos Fantasy Medieval RPG modpack.
The server is whitelisted and they want new players who will actually stay and be part of the community for a long time. The players are pretty close and like to build new connections and hang out together.
There is an active admin team that pays attention and they are always open to suggestions. The modpack keeps growing and changing based on what the players ask for so the server feels really community driven.
The server also has Simple Voice Chat and Discord integration so you can talk in game and stay more immersed while you play.
