This is an 18 plus whitelist server that feels like a big friend group. It is made by the players for the players and the community is super active. There are usually around 5 to 20 people on and about 100 total players who come and go.
The gameplay is like a Hermitcraft style SMP with a diamond based economy. There is a shopping district with player shops and also public builds and community projects. Most players use proximity chat so talking in game feels really natural.
The server tries to stay close to vanilla Minecraft while still adding some cosmetic and quality of life and fun plugins. New plugins are added from community requests and polls so the players help decide how the server grows.

Bases can be reinforced with a plugin so raids are harder and defense matters. Some crops only grow in certain biomes so people have to trade and travel. Crops keep growing even if you are offline and you can speed it up with fertilizer.
Mining is different too since ores spawn as you mine and your pickaxe and biome and Y level changes the rates. Some resources only show up in certain regions so you cannot get everything in one spot.
There are snitches that can alert you when someone enters your land and you can track what they do. If someone causes trouble players can use ExilePearls to send criminals to the nether. Konohaven is a Java SMP that just started Season 5 and it is trying something different this time. The big idea is letting players make the choices for stuff like spawn builds the shopping area and server roads. If you care about how things look or work you can start a group and actually make it happen.
The server is on Hard difficulty and it has single player sleep. There is also a live map so you can see what is going on.
For the world there is no set world border. Chunks will generate out to 1500 at first to help with early lag then you can explore as far as you want. The seed will be public and the world gen is being tweaked to add new features to the normal landscape.
