Kindred Vale is a super cozy survival server that feels like a chill home.
It is a grief free place so people can just build and relax without worrying about their stuff being ruined. The world has really pretty biomes and cool structures to explore and you can team up with nice players or just do your own thing.
There is a skills system where you level up stuff like mining and defense so your character gets stronger over time. You can also easily disenchant things at an anvil which is handy when you mess up enchants. Sometimes the owners give surprise server boosts like extra xp or potions so it feels exciting when you log in.
The server runs monthly events and weekly key hunts so there is always something fun happening. In Season 2 they even have a Valentines build battle so people can build silly or sweet things together. There are player shops and warps so you can visit other peoples builds and trade.
The community is really focused on being friendly and the owners listen to suggestions and add things people actually want. It is Java only and works on version 1.21 and up. Davidscloud is a survival SMP network that feels like a long term home. It has been around since really old versions so it does not feel like a random throwaway world. The server is all about fair gameplay and a friendly community.
You start in survival with grief prevention so your builds are protected. You get claim blocks when you join and you earn more just by playing. There are active and friendly admins who help if something goes wrong so you do not have to stress about griefers.
The server has some quality of life stuff but it is not pay to win. There is a banking system that gives interest and a survival spawn market where you can buy basic things like potions fish and wood. All progression is from actually playing instead of buying power.
There are multiple worlds to explore. There is a main survival world plus an amplified world with crazy terrain and big caves. You can reach the amplified world by using an NPC at the survival spawn. There are also new worlds planned like an event world and a creative plot world that you will reach from a hub.

This is a Bedrock server that is pure vanilla survival. There are no plugins and no pay2win stuff so it feels like normal Minecraft but with other players.
The community feels chill and you can do survival at your own pace. PvP is allowed but it is optional so you do not have to fight if you do not want to.
The main feature is clans. You can make your own clan and invite people. Every clan gets its own private clan chat in Discord and each clan has to design a flag banner and place it at their base.
Wars and raids between clans are allowed but they want fair play. Offline raiding is not allowed so you have to fight people when they are actually online.

This server feels like it was made by someone who actually ran private game servers before and got tired of having no good place to advertise.
It is built so server owners can list their own private servers or indie games and let players find them and vote for them. Owners can also use postbacks so they can automatically reward players when they vote which is pretty cool if you like giving people stuff for supporting the server.
There is also a community section where people can talk give feedback and share updates so it is not just a boring list. You can use all the main features for free and there is an optional premium sub if you want more visibility and extra features but you do not need it to start.

This is a modded SMP called The Asylum SMP and it is on season 3 right now. It uses the Better Minecraft 4 modpack so there are quests and new bosses and mobs and even new dimensions and more stuff to do.
The server is for players who want to join pretty often and hang out with a small group. The community feels close and relaxed and people are there to have fun together not just rush through everything.
The Asylum SMP is strictly 18 plus. Voice chat is required to be on the server but you do not always have to talk if you do not want to. They also run a monthly games night on their Discord where the mods host different games with everyone.
