ChillGrindSMP is a relaxed Java SMP that feels really cozy and simple. It runs on 1.20.10 and uses ViaVersion so people on almost any Java version can still join and play together.
The server is focused on survival where you grind and build at your own pace. There is a no griefing rule so your stuff is safe from trolls. If you die you get a gravestone so you do not instantly lose all your items which makes it way less stressful.
There is a simple and player friendly economy that does not feel confusing or pay to win. The owners made it super clear that there is no pay to win and no gross crate stuff or sketchy monetization.

This is a small SMP that started as a world for some real life friends. They moved on to other games but the owner did not want to shut it down because the world means a lot.
Now there is a new group of about 5 to 6 active players and they are giving the server new life. The community feels pretty chill and focused on hanging out and building together.

LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that feels like old school Minecraft but even more crazy. There are no rules and no limits so you just join and try to survive however you want. Nothing is protected and nothing is safe.
The server has no land claims and no teleport commands so every base has to be found by actually traveling. PvP is always on and griefing and raiding are allowed so you have to be careful who you trust. If you build something it can last forever or it can be blown up the next day.

This is a chill vanilla server that is made for adults only and has been running since 2023. They are starting Season 5 on January 24th 2026 so it is meant to last a long time not just a quick reset.
There are no teleports and no pay to win stuff and no cheating allowed. It is whitelisted and 18 plus so it stays safe and calm. The server is properly moderated so there is not a bunch of drama like on huge public servers.
The whole idea is for people who do not have a lot of time and do not want to grind or speedrun all day. You can log in after work or school and just relax build a house and hang out with others. You do not have to worry about griefers thieves or cheaters.

This server is called Purgatory SMP and it is a hardcore style world where dying is a really big deal.
If you die you do not just respawn. You need another player to bring you back. They can revive you using player heads or using totems. So you have to trust other people and work together if you want to survive for a long time.
The server is focused on PvP and on making big teams that fight or build lore together. The owner wants more PvP players and large groups to make the story of the world more interesting and dramatic.
