GOOMB SMP is a vanilla survival server that just started a new season so everything feels fresh. The world is amplified so the terrain is super tall and crazy and people are already building cool bases in the cliffs and mountains.
There is a 6k by 6k border right now so everyone has to build kind of close. It makes people team up or be neighbors and it feels like a real community. The border will get bigger later so there will be more room for big projects and new ideas.
The discord is really active. People share screenshots of the terrain and their builds and they talk about shops trades and deals. Voice chats are full a lot with people just hanging out and planning what to do next in the world.
The rules are pretty strict on being nice. No racism or hate speech no NSFW and no drama. You have to be respectful and use common sense. There is no griefing or stealing and no pvp unless everyone agrees.
You have to apply first then get whitelisted. After that you can join the server and start your base and be part of season 2. It feels like a good place if you want a mature chill amplified SMP with people who actually talk and play together.

Pentaxis SMP is a Minecraft server that is all about roleplay and story. Every player comes from a different dimension and somehow ends up in the overworld together. The dimension you come from decides your starting roleplay prompt and where you begin.
There are five admin made dimensions. One is a group of people focused on a huge shared plan. Another is a bunch of tribes trying to survive in a really harsh world. A third is an order that follows a higher being and a weird trinity of existence. Then there is a nomadic people who inherited a great empire. The last one is a strict and exclusive order that believes tradition can stop damnation.
The exact themes for each dimension are kept secret from normal players so you discover it as you go. You can choose to stay loyal to your home or totally betray it and make your own path. You can form alliances build up rivalries or just hang out and play chill.
From what I can see this server is for people who like writing stories with friends and acting out characters. It feels like the kind of place where you can build a cool base but also build a whole life and history for your character.

This is a chill Minecraft server that feels really friendly.
Right now pvp is turned off to help new people. So you can join and not worry about getting killed by other players while you are just starting out.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who really want vanilla Minecraft with no weird extras. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no datapacks and no plugins.
The spawn is simple and not full of shops or stories to read. Players are expected to handle their own problems with other players. You can play how you want and build what you want. If you like technical Minecraft this place is cool for that too.
The server is always on the latest stable vanilla jar. It is self hosted on a machine made just for the server. There are no donations and no world border. There are no plugins and no tp or sethome commands.
The game is on hard mode. It is a Java server. There is also a Discord for the community.

Ordinary SMP is a small vanilla Java server where players like to chill and play together. It feels like a cozy world where people build explore and just hang out.
The server is always on the newest version so you get the latest features. It is whitelisted so the community stays respectful and you can actually trust the people around you.
They protect builds using tools that let staff see what happened so griefing and theft can be investigated. That makes it feel safe to start big projects and not worry all the time.
There is a live map with BlueMap so you can look at the world and find places to travel to. The server also has Simple VoiceChat and custom audio so talking and listening in game feels more immersive.
