I found a Dark Academia Minecraft server that mixes roleplay with real learning. It feels like a school where players act like students in a structured community.
It is Java Edition and it is modded. The server is whitelist only so it sounds organized and focused.
There is a curated library with real books and academic resources. People can learn actual subjects through guided activities and discussions.
You can earn academic credits for participating and achieving things. You also get your own dorm room and you can decorate it and expand it as you progress.
The server leans hard into the dark academia aesthetic and it has etiquette rules plus ranks and immersive systems.

This server is a survival roleplay war setup where you pick a side and stick with it. You can choose the New Republic or the Empire and each team has its own cosmetics and upgrades.
A big part of the server is faction wars and pvp with raids and attacks and fighting for territory. There are battles on the ground and also in space. They also do bounties through Discord.
Ships are a main thing here. Each team can get two ship types pretty easily and other ships are harder to get. Combat ships have weapons and ammo limits and can overheat and even crash. Fighter ships are smaller and easier to control and are mostly for transport. More ships get added as the server keeps going.
You can find droids from loot boxes with different rarities and trade or sell them for credits. Rare droids are planned to give combat or economy advantages later. Lightsabers exist too with rare colors like yellow and purple and there are duels and blocking for pvp.
There is a credit economy for buying ships upgrades and cosmetics. Donators get a gold VIP tag and they track donor usernames on Discord. The server runs in seasons and every 2 to 3 months it resets items ships and progress and starts a new season.

The Den SMP is a vanilla inspired survival server made only for players who are 18 and up. It is whitelisted so you have to apply first and they focus a lot on keeping it mature and respectful with no drama.
It has a Survival Guide that helps you find everything like vanilla friendly cosmetics and custom tags. There are leaderboards for weekly monthly and all time stats and there are unique weekly events plus community events.
If someone griefs or steals they use CoreProtect to help protect players. You also get Dynmap so you can see the world and find towns shops and good spots to build. There are daily tasks that reset every 24 hours and a Mobdex where you can hunt rare mob variants and fill up an encyclopedia.
They are also running a PvP tournament on March 21st 2026. The server is hosted in Texas and it supports Bedrock with port 19132.

Lounge SMP is a semi vanilla server that feels more like a place to hang out than a rush to beat the game. It is built around an inclusive community where people can make friends and just have a good time.
The server has a no griefing rule so your builds can actually stay safe. The world is meant to last forever and the world border grows over time so there is always more space to explore later.
There are custom minigames and they also run events like a Spleef event on Friday. It is the kind of server where you take your time and build something meaningful.

I found a new survival server that lets Java and Bedrock players play together. It is lifesteal so fighting actually matters and you can mess with people a lot.
The world border is huge at 10000 by 10000 so there is room to hide bases and roam. The vibe is basically do whatever you want but there is one big rule. No nukes because it can shut the server down for good.
The owner says they will try to keep it open 24 7. If you want chaos and random fights this one fits.
